CMAS and ISF Sign Memorandum of Understanding to Promote Underwater Sports in Schools
CMAS is pleased to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the International School Sport Federation (ISF), marking the beginning of a new partnership aimed at promoting underwater sports within the international school sport community.
The agreement was signed by ISF President Željko Tanasković and CMAS President Anna Arzhanova in Belgrade, Serbia, ahead of the ISF World School Basketball Championship Zlatibor 2026. The ceremony was attended by representatives of both organisations.
The partnership establishes a framework for cooperation in areas such as youth engagement, water safety education, knowledge exchange, and the promotion of underwater sports in schools. It also opens the door to exploring future opportunities for the inclusion of CMAS disciplines within ISF events and activities.
Through this collaboration, CMAS and ISF share a common vision of creating new opportunities for young people to discover underwater sports while promoting educational values, healthy lifestyles, and international friendship through sport.
CMAS looks forward to working closely with ISF to inspire future generations and strengthen the connection between underwater sports and the global school sport movement.
