The medical commission consists of a group of doctors who can provide solicited and unsolicited advice to the board of CMAS. Doctors who are accredited specialists in or sufficiently familiar with hyperbaric and diving medicine, can be part of this international group. Medical issues are submitted to the group by way of e-mail and the discussion leader forms the advice based on the input.

In the past, the group advised on Medical assistance with the organization of free diving competition, Mental care after a serious diving accident, Medical Questionnaire, Corona and Aging and Diving.
