RESCUE & FIRST AID
Welcome to the CMAS Rescue Diver Training Programme! Our programme is designed to enhance the rescue skills of certified CMAS divers. By participating in this training, you will develop a comprehensive understanding of the common causes of diving emergencies, learn how to prevent incidents and accidents, acquire the skills to assist and rescue divers during emergencies, and gain the knowledge to effectively manage diving incidents or accidents.
Throughout the programme, you will gain a deeper understanding of the factors that can lead to diving emergencies. You will learn how to identify potential risks, recognize warning signs, and apply preventive measures to avoid incidents or accidents. We believe that prevention is key, and by promoting responsible diving practices and emphasising risk management, we aim to minimise the occurrence of emergencies.
Furthermore, the CMAS Rescue Diver Training Programme emphasises the importance of effective incident management. You will learn how to assess and triage diving incidents or accidents, organize rescue efforts, communicate with emergency services, and provide necessary post-incident support.
Welcome to the CMAS Oxygen Administration Training Programme! Our mission is to equip CMAS divers with the essential knowledge and skills to effectively respond to diving injuries and provide crucial first aid with Oxygen.
The CMAS Oxygen Administration Training Programme is specifically designed to address this need. Our comprehensive training course empowers divers to recognize the signs and symptoms of diving injuries, such as decompression sickness and lung overexpansion, and take immediate action to provide life-saving assistance.
By participating in this programme, you will learn how to assess the severity of an injury, establish an effective emergency response plan, and administer oxygen at the correct flow rate and concentration. These skills are crucial in stabilising an injured diver's condition and ensuring their well-being until further medical assistance is available.
Note: The CMAS Oxygen Administration Training Programme should always be complemented by proper first aid training. Oxygen administration is not a substitute for professional medical care, but it plays a crucial role in managing diving injuries.
Welcome to the First Aid and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Training Programme! This comprehensive course is designed to equip participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to respond effectively to emergency situations and provide lifesaving assistance.
During the programme, you will learn essential first aid techniques, including wound care, bandaging, splinting, and managing various medical conditions. You will also receive comprehensive instruction on CPR, which is a vital skill for reviving someone experiencing cardiac arrest.

Please note that the use of octopus rigs as an alternative gas supply is not considered suitable for this purpose.
Candidates will also be trained in search techniques to locate a lost dive partner, including the duration of the search and recovery navigation. Effective underwater signalling using a torch and sound will be taught to enhance communication and coordination with other divers.
Finally, candidates will learn a safe self-recovery method from the seabed to the surface, including all necessary decompression stops, in the event of an unexpected positive buoyancy event, such as the loss of a weight belt.
By completing this programme, you will develop the necessary skills and confidence to handle challenging situations underwater and act as a Self-Rescue Diver. Your enhanced knowledge and preparedness will contribute to a safer and more enjoyable diving experience, ensuring your personal safety and the safety of those around you.
