CMAS Admitted as Committee Member of the Fédération Internationale Sport pour Tous (FISpT)
CMAS is pleased to announce its admission as a Committee Member of the Fédération Internationale Sport pour Tous (FISpT).
FISpT is an international organisation dedicated to promoting Sport for All, encouraging participation in physical activity, active lifestyles, wellbeing, social inclusion and sustainable development through sport. The Federation brings together organisations from around the world that share a common commitment to making sport and physical activity accessible to broader communities.
CMAS joins FISpT with the conviction that underwater sports and activities can make a meaningful contribution to these objectives. Through its sports disciplines, recreational activities, educational programmes and environmental initiatives, CMAS offers opportunities for people of all ages and backgrounds to engage in physical activity while discovering and appreciating the underwater world.
Many activities developed within the CMAS family naturally align with the principles of Sport for All. From snorkelling and recreational diving to youth participation in sport, environmental awareness initiatives and more, CMAS sees significant opportunities to further develop Sport for All within our community.
This new membership provides opportunities for collaboration with organisations sharing similar values and aspirations, while strengthening the visibility of underwater activities within the broader international sport.
CMAS looks forward to contributing to the work of FISpT and to exploring new initiatives that will help bring the benefits of underwater sport and activity to even wider audiences around the world.
