The VDST says goodbye to Prof. Dr. Franz Brümmer
Past President of the VDST from 2003 to 2019.
His commitment to environmental protection was particularly impressive, reflected in many initiatives through his scientific expertise and personal conviction.
His active participation in committees such as the Sport & Nature Board and the Federal Government's Environmental Advisory Council shows how much the well-being of nature was close to his heart.
He not only made a significant contribution to the VDST, but also to raising awareness of the need to protect our underwater world.
His outstanding achievements were recognized not only within the VDST, but also internationally - with top-class awards such as the "Hans Hass Fifty Fathoms Award" and the "Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany".
