Presidents of CMAS Committees Elected During General Assembly in Sharm El Sheikh

During the Elective General Assembly of the Confédération Mondiale des Activités Subaquatiques (CMAS), held in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt, the Presidents of the three core CMAS Committees were elected for the upcoming term.
Mr. Michel Gaunard was re-elected as President of the Sports Committee, a role in which he has consistently demonstrated exceptional dedication and vision. His rigorous work has contributed significantly to the structured growth, visibility, and professionalisation of CMAS sports on a global scale.
For the Technical Committee, Mr. Alain Foret was newly elected. With a strong background in diving education and training, he is entrusted with the mission of further developing technical diving worldwide under the auspices of CMAS, promoting safety, quality, and global standards.
Mr. John Geurts was elected as the new President of the Scientific Committee, with a mission to enhance the protection and promotion of underwater cultural and natural heritage. His role will be central in strengthening CMAS's contribution to marine conservation and scientific research.
