The first round of the CMAS World Cup depth series in the Philippines has concluded!
The event saw 25 athletes from 18 countries across four continents come together for an exciting competition.
Highlights include:
World Records:
- Helen Allison (Australia) set three world records in the Masters M3 category.
National Records:
- 39 national records were set, including 7 in the Masters category.
Deepest Dives:
- Men: Thibault Guignes achieved a new French record with a 120m FIM dive.
- Women: Jingyu Ning set a new Chinese record with a 102m CWT dive.
The competition took place on Camotes Island, Philippines, and was organized by Camote Freedivers as part of the CMAS World Cup depth series.
"It was an amazing experience to host and run this competition with so many great dives. I hope to run this competition again next year," said Thibault Guignes, owner of Camotes Freedivers.
Next round of the CMAS World Cup depth series will take place in Roatan from August 5-13, 2024.
