Anna Arzhanova Re-Elected as President of CMAS During Elective General Assembly in Sharm El Sheikh

During the Elective General Assembly of the Confédération Mondiale des Activités Subaquatiques (CMAS), held on 9 May 2025 in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt, Mrs. Anna Arzhanova was re-elected as President of CMAS.
CMAS, which unites 128 countries across the world through its member federations, is the international governing body for underwater sports and activities. The re-election of President Arzhanova reflects the continued confidence of the global community in her leadership and vision.
In her announcement, President Arzhanova expressed her gratitude to the Member Federations for their trust and continued support:
"I am deeply honored to have been re-elected as President of CMAS. I sincerely thank each of you for your confidence in me and for your active participation in shaping the future of our Confederation. Together, we have made great strides, and together, we will continue to advance and strengthen the global CMAS community."
Other key outcomes of the Assembly included the re-election of Mr. Kevin O'Shaughnessy (Ireland) as Secretary General and Mr. Ilias Xiarchos (Greece) as Treasurer. Mr. Frédéric Di Meglio (France) and Mr. Jean Goiran (Monaco) were elected as Vice Presidents.
