The second day of the CMAS 2025 Indoor Freediving World Championship continued in full stride with the Dynamic With Bi-Fins (DYNB) discipline, hosted at the Olympic Aquatic Centre in Athens. The venue once again provided a stunning backdrop for the world's top freedivers to demonstrate precision, endurance, and technique in one of the most competitive pool disciplines.


The DYNB event underscored this international unity, as athletes from every continent took to the pool in pursuit of personal bests, national, continental, and once more, world records.

Competitors across the three CMAS official age categories—Juniors (15–17 years), Seniors (18–49 years), and Masters (50+ years. A total of 175 athletes took part in today's event, delivering thrilling performances and further raising the standard of indoor freediving.

Men's DYNBF – Elite Performances and two New World Records

The men's Dynamic With Bi-Fins (DYNBF) heats unfolded with escalating intensity, beginning with steady, confident dives and culminating in an exceptional display of athleticism and precision from the world's best.
Mauro Generali (ITA) impressed with a powerful 282.0m dive, earning him the bronze medal and setting a new CMAS World Record in the Masters M1 category.
Guillaume Bourdila (FRA) pushed the limits with an outstanding 285.0m dive, earning the silver medal and improving his previous personal best.
Mateusz Malina (POL) once again proved his supremacy in the sport, delivering a groundbreaking 300.0m dive to claim the gold medal and set a new CMAS World Record—becoming the first athlete in history to reach the 300-meter mark in Dynamic Apnea With Bi-Fins.

Women's DYNBF – Thrilling Performances and a New World Record in M1 category

The women's Dynamic Apnea With Bi-Fins (DYNBF) event delivered exceptional performances too. With athletes pushing the boundaries of the discipline, the event became a true showcase of the growing depth and power in women's freediving.
Key moments:
Zsófia Törőcsik (HUN) achieved a personal best with an impressive 250.0m dive, securing the bronze medal and underlining her consistency on the world stage.
Magdalena Solich-Talanda (POL) followed with a superb 260.5m performance, earning the silver medal in a display of world-class form.
Mirela Kardasevic (CRO) delivered the winning performance of the day—an extraordinary 263.0m dive that earned her the gold medal and cemented her status at the top of the discipline.
Also notable was Livia Bregonzio (ITA), whose strong 4th-place finish with a dive of 249.0m included a new CMAS World Record in the Masters M1 category.

 For a second day in a row, this CMAS World Championship in Athens, stood out not only for its record-breaking performances but also for its exceptional organization and athlete support. Thanks to the close collaboration between CMAS, Diving Greece, and the Greek authorities, the event ran smoothly and safely. From elite seniors to rising juniors and seasoned masters, the championship showcased the full spectrum of talent and the enduring appeal of indoor freediving.
