On November 4, the Secretary of the Scientific Committee of the World Underwater Federation (CMAS), MarĂ­a Clotilde Zeckua Ramos, carried out an official visit to the National Museum of Marine Science and Technology (NMMST) in Taiwan.

During her stay, she held a meeting in the conference hall with the heads of the Scientific Outreach and Underwater Archaeology departments, where experiences and perspectives on the development and promotion of marine knowledge were shared.

Subsequently, she participated in a guided tour of the Ocean Culture Hall and other thematic areas of the museum, with the attendance of the following guests:

  • External guests: President Huang Hanyong and Coach Zhang Zhudao.
  • Internal guests: Director Chen Lishu and Qiu Ruikun.

The visit concluded with a tour led by Director Chen Lishu, who presented the museum's efforts in promoting ocean science and technology, aimed at children, youth, and adults, with the goal of fostering awareness of the conservation and responsible use of marine resources, as well as highlighting the work carried out by specialists in the field.

The CMAS acknowledges and appreciates the commitment of the National Museum of Marine Science and Technology to the promotion of scientific knowledge and the preservation of the marine environment.
