Report of Anti-Doping Matter (11.16.2021)
In accordance with Article 14.3 of the World Underwater Federation Anti-Doping Rules (“CMAS ADR”), the CMAS hereby reports that the Athlete Mr Goran COLAK (CRO) (the “Athlete”) has violated Article 2.1 of the CMAS ADR - Presence of a Prohibited Substance or its Metabolites or Markers in the Athlete’s sample.
More precisely, a sample collected from the Athlete on 7 March 2020 during the Fazza Free Diving Championship has revealed the Presence of the Prohibited Substances atenolol and propranolol, listed under P1. Beta-blockers of the 2020 and 2021 WADA Prohibited List.
The Athlete has been sanctioned as follows:
- Mr Goran COLAK has committed a violation of Article 2.1 of the CMAS ADR.
- Mr Goran COLAK is suspended for a period of Ineligibility of 18 months.
- The period of Ineligibility starts on 21 September 2020 and shall remain in full force and effect until 20 March 2022.
- In accordance with Article 9 of the CMAS ADR, all the results achieved by the Athlete at the Fazza Free Diving Championship are automatically disqualified with all resulting consequences, including the forfeiture of any medals, points and prizes. In addition, all the competitive results of the Athlete during any period of retroactive Ineligibility are also disqualified.
