19th CMAS Finswimming World Senior Championship in Volos- World Records

The first two records were held by Petra Senanszky from Hungary at 100m Bf Women. Firstly, in the morning semi-finals with the time 46.43 (46.65 the previous record) and in the evening Finals with the time 45.69.

A new world record was also held by Dmitry Seryakov from Russia at 100m Bf Men with the time 41.44 (42.31 the previous record).

Shu Chen Jing from China and Max Poschart from Germany were very close to the World record at the race of 100m Sf with the time 38.13 (38.11 the World Record) and with the time 34.22 (34.18 the World record) respectively.

Four new world records were achieved at the same race (100m IM) in the morning session of the 2nd day of the CMAS Finswimming World Championship held in Volos.

Firstly, FERNANDEZ CASTILLIO Mauricio from Colombia and KIM Tae Kyun from Korea with the time 31.50 ( previous record 31.52) and then LEE Kwanho from Korea with the time 31.24.

The last World Record of today’s preliminary races was achieved by JUAN FERNANDO Ocampo Lozada from Colombia at the race of 200m SF with the time 1.19.12.

New World Records and high performances were the characteristics in the evening session of finals on the 2nd day of the 19th CMAS World Senior Finswimming Championship which takes place in Volos (Greece) with great success.

Especially, at the race of 100m IM (as happened in the morning session) two athletes achieved the new World Record with the same time! KIM Tae Kyun from Korea and FERNANDEZ CASTILLIO Mauricio from Colombia (as in the preliminary) achieved the new World Record with the time 31.34.

SENANSZKY Petra from Hungary was once more the person of the day as she achieved her third World Record in the championship, this time at 200m BF with the time 1.41.42.

A new World Record was also achieved by KOSINA Gergo from Hungary as well, at the same race (200m BF) with the time 1.33.31.

Four new World Records in Volos in the preliminary of the 3st day.

SENANSZKY Petra from Hungary in 50m SF 21.13, (the four records in Volos), YANG Ye Sol (KOR) in 50m SF Women 17.05, FERNANDEZ Casil (COL) in 50m SF Men 15.05, and ABRUZOV Andrey (RUS) in 50m BF Men 18.41.

Russia, China and Hungary are leading, so far, the “battle” of medals in the 19th CMAS World Senior Finswimming Championship.

In the first three days of the championship, Russia gathered 13 medals in total, 6 gold, 2 silver and 5 bronze.

China comes second with 5 gold, 5 silver and 2 bronze medals and Hungary comes third with 8 medals (4 gold, 2 silver and 2 bronze).

Greece, the organizing country, holds the 6th place with 4 medals ( 1 gold, 1 silver, 2 bronze).

The World Records continued and reached the 19 records after the end of the 3rd  day of the finals.

New World Records were achieved by JANG Ye Sol from Korea in 50m SF with the time 16.95, FERNANDEZ CASTILLIO Mauricio from Colombia in 50m SF with the time 15.00, SENANSZKY Petra from Hungary in 50m BF with the time 20.98, the Chinese CHEN Si Jia in 400m IM with the time 2.56.87 and CHI Cheng also from China in the same race with the time 2.40.40, the team of Russia in 4x200m SF Women with the time 5.57.07 and finally JUAN FERNANDO Ocampo Losada from Colombia achieved a new World Record in 200m in 4x200m SF Men.
