Finswimming 29.12.2021

We have designed scientific research to investigate nutrition knowledge of finswimmers all around the world and it will be collaborative work, including UK, USA, France and Greece Universities. We are conducting a questionnaire to understand the sports nutrition knowledge and eating behaviours of Finswimmers globally. If finswimmers are aged 14-40 years, have a minimum of 1 year training and competing in Finswimming, and are currently training at least three times per week as they’re affiliated with a club, we would like to hear from them. The questionnaire will ask about their demographic information, training behaviors, sports nutrition knowledge, supplement use and perceptions on drugs in sport.

We created a poster and there are the questionnaire links in each language in this poster. We also send you a word document that you can find the name of the research and related link in its own language. Also, you can see the name of the research and related link in its own language below in this email. They just need to click the link to learn more about the study and complete the survey. It will take just 30 minutes to complete.

This is the first study ever that investigating sports nutrition and finswimming. Also, there is no study in nutrition science and sport science that has applied globally in that level. In addition to English version, we translated this questionnaire in other 7 languages (Spanish, Italian, Russian, Greek, Turkish, French, and German)

Our aim is to get a big participants number, which is minimum 300-500 finswimmers, but hopefully even more than 1000 participants. We strongly believe that we can hit this number and if we can, it will be the study that has the highest participation regarding to nutrition knowledge compared with any other sport in the world. This is our target and if we can do that, this can be a big message to the world about our sport.

So, we need your help and support. Please share this with your team and colleagues via email and social media (e.g. facebook, Instagram, Twitter and etc.), because more finswimmers will provide more impact and higher quality.
