WADA Symposium 2024 Lausanne, Switzerland

CMAS President Anna Arzhanova and CMAS Sport Committee President Michel Gaunard took the opportunity of the WADA Symposium 2024 held in Lausanne Switzerland to meet with the International Testing Agency and discuss the prohibition of PDE5 Inhibitors, such as Sildenafil, and all Benzodiazepines, which includes medications such as Diazepam in Freediving. The main topic of discussion was the testing procedure. CMAS' decision to ban the use of PDE5 Inhibitors and Benzodiazepines in competition prioritizes the athletes' safety.
